Tiredisation Tirerification Tiredliness

Hi, it's almost 11 pm here and it's been a loooong day
We went to the local international trade center here for a series of meetingsssss...
tak larat man.. imagine we were trying to get to know total strangers and their business in brief from 10am till 5pm straight..
i guess i got a glimpse of what speed dating is like..
but overall kudos to the local int trade dept, and the non profit org that arranged the meetings.. they were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and damn efficientlah!

still at work tonight.
the price you have to pay for such an exotic 'fully paid vacation' huh?
tadi went shopping for parents and granmas. bought 2 real full leather purse for only RM35 each..full leather!
either i've not been around much in msia or that's a real cheap bargain
got few more to go before i settle for what's best [and most affordable] for me/ myself and I

called home just now..
damn i miss him.
dahla balik nanti he will be away pulak for few days..
tomorrow another long day.. cant wait till this is over, or at least till we go to Ankara, or change hotel..
the same exact array of buffet breakfast here is killing me softly..

nite nite people..
and i didnt manage to learn a single Turkish word to end my blog here..

The Blue Mosque blues

Currently blogging from hotel in Istanbul, which is right in front of the Grand Bazaar, talk about location, location, location...

Work is going fine, as planned, in fact better than expected. And apparently the wateva** wasnt that bad afterall. It's a hectic schedule, we have at least 2 meetings and a factory visit in a day.. and since Istanbul retires at 7pm, our working hours feels like forever. We even work on weekends on this trip!

Enough on the boring stuff.. now Istanbul.. so far it's been great minus the fact that I lost my purse during prayers in the very Blue Mosque. Still hasnt changed my perception on Istanbul though but my spending MUST change tremendously now since I lost a qtr of my allowance! I blame myself entirely cos I did not put the bag in front of me, but letak tepi which i can only observe during standing or rukuklah. Nampak sgt jarang2 sembahyang kat masjid, takde skill. I think it would have happen in Msia too.. cos u just cant trust ppl la nowadays, even in such holy place. But one thing worth noting, the locals are very helpful and attentive when they learnt that I've lost the purse, especially in their beloved landmark. I've got 2 young girls who offered to follow me around as translator, tourist police who accompanied us to the police station and even comforted me, and the policemen.. they're are so hospitable.. i mean they really take pity on you rather than start nagging or making fun on your carelessness..

Due to that mishap, we only manage to visit the Blue Mosque and skipped Hagya Sophia cos it was already close once the police report was settled. Next time la kot since our hotel pun just a nice half hour walk from there. Thursday pegi Bhosporus cruise. Then maybe tgk the traditional 'tarian perut' on friday. to make up for the weekend that we have lost here.. hahahaha.. excuses!

Food is 'still' great but damn expensive lah! Weather is the best.. I really love it.. but then again, it's only summer over here.. i think it's the best time to visit Istanbul anyway..

Oh well, more later. Going to Ankara this weekend, slight change of plan, which is oklah jugak.
hope to go Cappadocia but it's just wishfull thinking

Btw, called insurance, they cover my lost under the travel insurance policy.
My advice is, for those travelling, pls take the insurance.. it will help to keep u sane when things like this happen.. that's y I still can afford to be here... emotionally..

New gadget alert!!

Currently blogging using my spanking! new! laptop! via wireless! connection! at home! ie on my bed without all those hideous cables ..coolness or what??

oklah jakun sikit..
and yeah all these stuff did cost me few mths savings la.. but I deserve it, according to Mr.. who is a very big (influencing) factor for this unplanned acquisitions
but looking at his excitement and enthusiasm at the PIKOM pc fair last weekend, i just cant resist la.. so terus decide to buy. have to admit, i am happy because he is la rather than anything else..
kill 2 birds with 1 stone u see
making him happy by getting myself something new and usefull..

Thank you sayang for all the installation stuff!!!
We should start charging our student neighbours a small sum for internet usage la
couple that with free AF viewing on Saturday soon.. i might be able to cover cost by the end of next AF season i think..
Brilliant!

Bali and Istanbul

The trip to Bali was eventful. In short, we missed the flight cos silly me didnt know that our passport has to be valid for another six mths (thought it was 3 mths je). had to forgo the departure that day and buy another ticket for both of us on the next day at 4pm instead of 10am.. so rugi 2 hari.. and the flight that day got delayed for almost 2 hrs, by the time we reach Bali, it's almost 11pm. And since we have to fork out extra money to replace the tix, budget lari so was quite on a tight budget... We did enjoy ourself though.. went for some sightseeing (though i wasnt particularly happy with it), lepak @ pool, lepak hard rock, shop for some craftwork for our new home and of course spa! Puas hati la, but if you're asking my opinion, i prefer our first honeymoon, Phuket.. it's cheaper, definitely better beaches, great food, and more relaxing.. u wont have dozens of ppl following u around trying to make a living out of u.. and u cant never beat Thais hospitality..

Next week, I'm going to Istanbul for 2 weeks on business trip..
that should be interesting since i was just dreaming about a trip to Turkey recently - biasala.. org baru balik holiday.. Only thing is Mr wont be around la, dgn final exam.. so definitely cant expect a surprise visit or something like while I'm there.. sigh...
nak buat mcm mana.. rezeki takat tu je..
but mmg syukur and looking fwd to it even though there's an obvious catch to this..
more abt it later..
